Have been spending a better portion of the weekend getting packed and ready to go. Doing lots of cleaning and trying to get stuff done around the house before we go.
It has been a interesting time trying to plan out this vacation, as initially we were supposed to be driving the Alcan highway and backpacking Denali. I wasn't sure if I would be going or not and it looked like I might have to fly to Anchorage and then Fairbanks to meet up with everyone. Then I had my knee surgery not knowing if I would be able to hike with a big framepack or not, then dad had his heart attack so we cancelled Denali and are now planning Skagway and Juneau Alaska. Well, now the van is actting up and we aren't sure if we will be taking it or my Escape. Sometime crazy things happen and well we will just see what happens.
T- 3 days and 2 hours to departure.
