Happy THanksgiving everyone! I hope you enjoy all of your good food and families. This year, I decided to revise the former 10 things I am thankful for that I never knew about.

Here we go

10. Vegetables in the winter. One more pickled tomato I may lose it. I am now on the carrot, rice and oil diet aka palow. HOw many more weeks until spring where I am then on the tomato and cucumber diet: unpickeld

9. Everything I hated at home: malls, McDonalds, Morris the Taurus and Bush. I have come to realize it could be much worse. Much.

8. Tonic Water. At home you couldn't get a vodka tonic down me, but it would really help the home made brews of vodka.

7. Furniture. While you are sitting there eating your lavish meals, look around you. You are probably sitting at a table for 10, then you will watch football on a TV in the bookcase while your feet are on yet another table. Then think of me. Sleeping on the floor, eating on the floor....ahhhh.

6. I am thankful for the calculus book I got to use in high school, instead of wiping my butt with it. Yes, that is what they use for toilet paper here, this week's addition: polynumerals. It is good review for the GRE though.

5. Washing machine and Dryer. Yes, I was the one who paid my brother to wash my clothes. Sorry William that gig is over. When I get home I will play with the lovely technology, probably even put myself into it!

4. Running water. It is really fun to get water from a well once or twice. But when you realize you are dehydrated and you haven't cleaned that last bucket of pond water....ahhh the joys.

3. women's Rights. I like wearing pants, drinking in public and talking.

2. Internet, books, resources. Imagine teaching a class with no books, lesson planning books, computer, copies, over head projector. It makes it very difficult to just fill time.

1 Freedom of speech. Enough said without getting whacked :)

Ok, so now a better one. 10 ten reasons it Thanksgiving is better in Tstan

10. The vodka is cheaper here

9. and you don't need a DD from the family

8. you get to hang out with all the PCVs and there are not many people like them...

7. it is a little warmer...

6. The turkey is fresher...I hope I don't have to chop the head

5. I get to put Peacecorps on my resume

4. well if I finish

3. I hope there is food at my table, now that i think about it

2. shoot.

1. I am wrong, Thanksgiving could never be better here. Oh well!

I am doing great. I hope you all are too! Write me lots of letters and send packages! I love you all!
