Headed off towards the Cliffs of Moher this morning. It was a lovely drive, however as we started to get closer it was like there was a bit of a mist/fog about.  When we got to the cliffs, we couldn't see more than about 10m in front of us.  The clouds were so thick we didn’t get to see the Cliffs of Moher at all!!!

As soon as we got down a bit from the mountain, the clouds cleared! and then we headed through County Clare and Limerick and into County  Kerry, first stop Tralee.  Then on to the Dingle Peninusla where mum was dying to see.  We came across an old fort and some famine huts and the mist was starting to roll in again here, but it just made it seem all the more rugged and almost spiritual.  The scenery was spectacular but the mist was starting to get a bit thicker (we didn’t want a repeat of the Cliffs) so we decided to stay in Dingle.  This turned out to be our best decision yet.

It was exactly what we expected of an Irish village.  Got a great B&B right in the heart of town and wandered up the road to the pub for some dinner.  Then the live music started!  A guy with his guitar singing Irish songs and encouraging everybody to sing along and make requests.  Mum was in heaven – and even had a pint!  Had a fantastic night there and didn’t end up going home 'til the end at about 11:30.
