Terminal 5....Awesome!! No problems, no worries, just plenty of fun and laughter!!
We checked in and for the first time in my life, we weren't searched!! Nice terminal...Recommended!!
Flight.......... A bit bumpy, grub was a bit trashy but we had the usual tin folied scrambled egg and bacon for breckie, so not so bad!! The overnight flight helped but there was a certain fart beetle that woke us up...Who did this.....???
Our badly packed rucksacks arrived safely, this was a massive surprise considering we had so many attatchments to it, i.e tent, sleeping bags etc...... To get them at all from terminal 5 was a bonus!!
Any hoo.... First thing first..EXIT... FAG!!!!!! Oops...we don't smoke...Oh no.... Hee!
Taxi from airport was a bit strange.. passing british motorway signs, speed limits etc..very British.
Arrived at the hostel. The Mirandor Mansion!! Sounds luxurios eh??? Hmmmmmm....... well Mam & Viv, dont read on!!!!....No seriously!! "No Son of mine will live there!!!" Okay..Think Dyfatty Flats, times it by ten, multiply it by a hundred and check out the photo's, an absolute dump!
It's safe enough (really?) just arghhh not what we expected considering the research done online prior to our trip!!!
2 more night's and we're outta here!! Woo Hoo!!
The Bath is nice and warm tho eh!!!
Right then..the nitty gritty......HONG KONG.....
What can we say?? It's raining, it;s pouring, it;s a battle of....umm...um...

umbrella's!!!It's weeing it down as it goes and it's not likely to stop either. Whatever!! We're Welsh for God's sake!!!
We left the hostel and went for a wander. We felt very intimided. The streets were packed, full of hustle and bustle, street wonkers trying to sell you copies every opportunity!! "No, thanks", "No Thank you", " No Ta" "Nah", "NOOOOOO!!!"" How polite can one be!!!! It was dark, we're clearly new tourists, blone and ginger..I mean red head and we are an absolute target!! Any hoo, as time goes by, we get better at the "No's" and we find an Irish bar to duck into away from it all who sell Bow!! Yip Friggin Hee!!
First night, not sure what we think!!!
Today (Saturday) We walked 5o000 miles and I will walk 5000 more just to be the ...DURGH DUH DUGH DUH!! Blah barh!! Today, we had a blast!! We walked in the rainy daylight, we had a Mc Donalds!! WooHOO check us out!! And watched 5 mins of the Symphony of Lights!! Impressive stuff! Basically, the whole of Hong Kong's skyscrapers light up, in time to the orchertaral music!! Very special indeed.
We went for a pint from here to the Irish bar again (our local) and had a few problems with them accepting a British Visa card!! All turned out well in the end. We are now back at the hostel.....wsihing we'd stayed out!! What a dump!!!!

It's really good to hear that you've both arrived safe and well.
Shame about the weather hey ... LMAO !!!
Just make the most of it guys and enjoy. It's only been a week without babe in work but blimey it's been noticeable. Will miss you big time but so proud of you... many of us have big dreams but very few have the courage and balls to go and get them.
Have a blast and we're looking forward to hearing about your next 'pit - stop ' before Australia... Singapore here they come !

Loved the photos and video - great bog too - glad you arrived safe and sound. Hope you enjoy Hong Kong - Fantastic sights, we really loved all the hustle and bustle! Am sure you will love Singapore too - have a Gin Sling for us! We cant wait to go back ourselves. Take care and most of all ENJOY.
