All too soon its another country to leave... and if I'm totally honest I'm not sad.  Kuala Lumpur is OK but Malacca was much better!!

It was definitely worth coming here but I am so excited that today I fly to Thailand and not only will I be visiting another country but my best camping buddy will be flying in as well!!!  Can't wait to catch up with the lovely Miss Snowdon.... just a few more hours to wait!!!

I leave the hotel and make my way to the airport... which one do you want to go to I'm asked?? Thankfully they know which one and 45 minutes later I've arrived and checked in.

I am so early but its the excitement of leaving and knowing that when I arrive at my next destination my very good friend will also be there and I'm so looking forward to catching up with Shelley. Our last adventure was camping for 9 weeks together in the USA... and what an experience that was!!!!!

So I'm at the airport... there isn't much to do.... but there is free wifi and a place for coffee so I can't really moan!!!

Malaysia was a good experience however I am definitely not sad to leave.... Malacca was lovely and a lot cleaner... they are so many people in Kuala Lumper and you're forever getting knocked... the shopping is good as is the food but to be totally honest I'm glad I was only there a few days and ultimately it was more to apply for my visa than anything else!

So just a few more hours to go..... you can tell I'm writing today's entry in segments!! The next time I will be in Thailand... I did catch the news this morning and apparently the floods are bad... and there have been a number of deaths.... these are the worse floods in Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia.... I guess until I get there I can't comment until we see it for ourselves!!!

I'm in Thailand!!!!  My flight was delayed which happened to be a good thing as I arrived in Bangkok at the same time as Shelley and we waited about 30 minutes before we met up... scanning the number of people and then seeing a familiar face is just awesome!

It was an emotional reunion and feels like we saw each other only yesterday!  We were non stop chat chat chat before we thought it best to grab a taxi and go to our hotel.

The taxi is bright pink and the inside is like nothing I've seen before... its decorated and all it needs is some fairy lights for it to be complete.... I have no idea how long it took us to get to the hotel as again we were non stop chat.  We arrive....

OMG is all I can say the hotel is beautiful!!  Lebua at State Tower is Bangkok's finest 5 star all suite hotel. With an undying passion to innovate and redefine hospitality at luxury city hotels in Thailand, lebua is more than a destination; it is a world-class experience. lebua at State Tower is an all-suite hotel where every one of  the137 suites are designed to offer you breathtaking vistas of Bangkok and the Chao Phraya river, and it does not let you down!!!

As you walk into the hotel you are greeted and your luggage taken.  There is a guy in a DJ playing the piano and the service is just incredible.  We are then escorted to our suite and my mouth dropped to the floor... we have a living area with TV, a kitchen area, the bathroom is just amazing and has a full bath as well as a separate shower!!!  There are robes and slippers and the bedroom is just lovely complete with another TV, the balcony offers outstanding views... we even have a doorbell!!!!  To say this hotel is luxury would be an understatement!!!  Its breathtaking!!

The escort shows us the suite and informs us of the many facilities, state of the art gym, swimming pools including a roof top one, beauty parlors, steam room, sauna, roof top bar..... I could go on and on!!

Shelley and I are still non stop chat and decide we should grab some dinner... we chose to eat at one of the many restaurants the hotel has to offer and it has amazing views including one of the swimming pools!

The scene would be fitting for a Gucci advert or a film!!  In fact the Hangover part 2 was filmed in this hotel!

The meal and cocktails were outstanding and even though its cost a small fortune it was so worth it... we laughed so much it hurts!! Again the service was remarkable.

We have so much to catch up on and we attempt to go to the sky bar for another drink.... unfortunately we are advised that we need to..... well dress nicely!!!  Hmmmm I think I'll need some shoes!!!  So we'll try the bar tomorrow!!!

Back to our suite and the views from the balcony are amazing.. its about 3am and we are still chatting....  time for sleep.

I am so looking forward to this leg of the adventure and hope time slows down.

Welcome to Thailand Shelley... we are going to have a blast!
