Before embarking on the island we take the tour bus and stop at a local market called Pasar Gunungsari. This market is so busy with lots of vendors selling fruit, vegetables, clothes, meat and fish... seeing all the flies on the produce makes me feel lucky I'm a veggie!!!
Dara brought some fruit for us to try and the list is growing for the wonderful tastes we are experiencing. It was more for the atmosphere than the buying here but it was a good stop!
We then take an outrigger boat to Gili M which takes about 45 minutes if that...There are no cars on any of the three islands and the form of transport is horse and cart or bike
There are several bungalow-style accommodations with verandas that overlook gardens of the ocean. Our bungalow is so quaint. The styles of cafes and restaurants involves small open huts perfect to unwind in. Gili M is the place to be.
We all meet in the restaurant for lunch after check in before embarking on the rest of the day which is free to do what we want and its hard not to find a quiet spot on the sand and watch the world go by... Bali really has something for everyone.
We all spent the rest of the day doing different things, starting with looking at the turtle conservation here where they have so many turtles and babies which are the cutest things and then there's time for relaxing in the sun before meeting up for dinner at a restaurant further up the island where apparently the fish is the best thing... being veggie I settle for something else...
Gili Meno is like being on a castaway Island... its great to experience something different... I think its going to be chilled...
