Got a call from Guddis around lunch to see what my plans were for the afternoon.  Guddis had been to the Accenture International Womans Day event last night and some of the girls had planned to head out for a drink for St Patricks Day today.  I was a bit lazy and doing stuff around the apartment, however managed to get ready in time!  They had picked McKibbons on Bishop Street, so I walked down to meet them there around 2.30pm.

It was a beautiful blue day and not too cold, so there were lots of people out on terraces especially on Crescent Street enjoying St Patricks day drinks!  McKibbons was very packed, however the group had managed to get some tables near the bar in a less crowded section.

Met some more of the Accenture team and their partners.  I had a couple of Kilkenny's and they were very nice!  They had a band playing sporadically, and also Irish dancers, which we went and watched for a bit.  We also went upstairs for a look after the dancers had finished and there was a band up there too, but it was very packed and we were told if we went up there we couldn't come back down!!

It was very tempting to stay and drink more beers, however we had already made plans to meet up with some of the girls from work at the W for drinks tonight.  So around 6pm Schotty, Guddis and I said goodbye to everyone and made our way back home.

We made plans to meet up at Guddis and Schotty's lobby at 8pm.  We wanted to get something to eat before we were due to meet Neeta and the rest of the ladies at around 10.  We started wandering down towards the old port and the W and checked out the restaurant there, however weren't that impressed with the menu.  So instead we went back to a place we had seen on the way which looked nice.

We were impressed with the atmosphere of the Houston, and the food was very nice too. I tried a couple of different cocktails which were tasty.  At around 10 Neeta and the rest of the ladies arrived. We decided to stay at Houston for a bit and have some more drinks before heading to the W as it wasn't late enough yet!  We had a couple of shots and chatted until around 11.30.

Next stop was the W where Neeta knew the manager of the bar upstairs.  He got his bartender to make us some different cocktails, and the one I had was very nice.  We also had another shot here.  The bar was very nice and we had the VIP section to use :)

After a bit we decided to go downstairs and have a look a the club.  It was really small and packed, and there wasn't really a dance floor.  Had a couple of drinks here, and tried to have a dance, but the music was a bit too hip hop for my tastes.  I got talking in the drinks line to a guy from Toronto, who turned out to be the serial pest.  I finally managed to ditch him before heading home around 3.30am!!  What a day!
