We got up early and headed to Lacanau, we arrived and it was quite overcast, so we had a wander around town, a coffee on the seafront and then some lunch followed by a couple of games of chess in the park.
Lacanau is a popular French seaside holiday destination and also attracts surfers as it has great surf and s also a very good place to learn to surf. Turns out there must be a few Australians there as we saw a few 'Australian' restaurants and cafes. Still not sure what typical Australian food is though.It was nice wandering around town and felling like we were in a real holiday destination.
Prior to leaving to go back to Bordeaux for our flight Matt managed to fit in a surf while I enjoyed a relax in the sun on the beach.
