We drove to Pisa and spent the morning at the Leaning Tower and the surrounding buildings. The leaning Tower is part of a large piazza with a Baptistry, A Duomo, the Leaning Tower as well as the surrounding buildings. The Leaning Tower has always been on a lean and a few years ago it was leaning at such an unsafe angle that people were no longer able to go up the tower and reinforcements were required to stop it toppling over. Now you are able to go up the tower again as it is safe. It's also funny that no one has ever laid claim to being responsible for building the Tower (I guess no engineer would want that on their record!)
