At the bus station in Rio, I met Jennifer - an American girl who happened to be on her way to Buzios as well.  I helped her with the bus tickets, she helped me by having already researched somewhere to stay in Buzios!  (I hadn´t pre-booked)  We ended up in a hostel which was quite new, and only 4 in the dorm, so as the other 2 people were already out, and Jennifer wanted a nap, I indulged in getting ready for a whole hour in a gorgeous clean, new, bathroom! Bliss!

Buzios is a really cute town, made famous by Brigitte Bardot, however it rained the entire time we were there.  Julia arrived the next day - covered in mud as she couldn´t find the hostel...!  Poor girl!  It was raining so heavily, we had to buy some jackets that I can only describe as ´human condoms´- you´ll see why in the photos! 

The rain didn´t stop us going out at night, and also exploring the place.  It really was gorgeous, but would be better in the sun.  We also ate in the most fabulous crepe place - loads of different flavours - mmmm!  Julia and I then headed off for Ilha Grande
