Good Morning,
The forecast called for rain on Thursday so, like everything else in this city, the rain came on time. As I sit here sipping my tea, I can hear the drops falling into the courtyard outside our window. It is a great sound to wake up to. Underneath us you can hear a faint rumble of the metro each time it passes which reminds me that we are in the middle of a bustling metropolis this week. We will have to take some photos of our little place here so we can share it with you.
Originally we had planned to go see Disneyland- can you imagine me going to Disneyland with all the walking I have been doing? I would have to be insane- and my traveling partners agree- it is time to take a moment and relax in Paris..that will no doubt include a stop to the panini shop, find some local artists, and do some serious window shopping.
Well, yesterday was a fine day at Versailles- all I can say is that it is a vacation on its own- you really could spend a week there and not feel you had repeated yourself. Of course it is beautiful, so if you take your heavy camera bag like I did, please first employ a sherpa to help with the load! :)
I am looking forward to a nice slow paced day today. I know Craig and Sami are as well- we each have our war wounds from our travels here and when we get up from a chair an older aged version of us seems to be getting up. Ugh.
OK, that is it for now. Gotta have some breakfast and get a move on.
Love you all very much,
Kathryn

More Joni!!
'...If I had my way
I'd just wander down the Champs d'Elysees
Going cafe to cabaret
And thinking how I'd feel when I find
That very good friend of mine...'
Be in the moment as much as you can. Savor the wine.

The lyric goes:
'...If I had my way
I'd just walk through those doors
And wander down the Champs d'Elysees
Going cafe to cabaret
And thinking how I'd feel when I find
That very good friend of mine...'
