We woke up early and crossed the border! Of course the little green mamba passport got eyed out very severely by the immigration official and i was made to pay $80!!! The internet does not always have the after much time spent in researching this, this was not the answer the mighty www gave me!!!! But through the border across the bridge and voila we were in Bolivia where we met up with what was soon to become the Salar group. Stas (the Russian israeli), Maik ( the Israeli who's name was actually Lior but we thought it was Mike) and Kristie and Kallum (from a place in oz called Yapoon). After some great Israeli negotiation we found a private mini bus for 10 Bolivianas (1 Rand is equal to 1 Boliviana)! So off to tupiza we went, after which we were going to catch a bus to Uyuni to do the salt plains. After much information swapping in the bus we decided to do the trip from Tupiza as there were some awesome spots on the way which were not included in the Uyuni tours. After much operator comparison we decided to go with Tupiza tours. Four people per landrover, so that each person has a window. Kristie and Kallum made up our four. After booking the tour and getting back to our hostel we found out that our convoy would be made up of four vehicles, 15 people, 4 ozzies, me a canadian and 9 Israelies!!!! Go team...
