Sunday we'll be leaving for Cledat, that's in two days but it seems so far from my mind and it won't come closer.
Normally I'd be counting the days, the minutes, the seconds, longing to be there, now I feel frozen in time.
So what's up? Cledat hasn't changed, the house, our hamlet, the hills and the trees - they will be there for ever.
It must be me.
I guess it's to do with my plans to travel on after our stay in France, for I will be going to South Africa. To a place called Amanzimtoti, near Durban, to work for a voluntary organization. A project for orphaned children, often HIV infected, abused, neglected and abandoned.
I know this will be on my mind while I'm in Cledat, putting my life there in a different perspective. I don't mean to be morose, I intend to make it a happy time, both experiences, and I'm sure I will appreciate the privilege of living a safe and comfortable life as much as the privilege of lending a hand to those less fortunate.
Ah, funny opening, not the usual, if any of my former readers are here, that is.
Will they be back, I wonder, or shall I be writing for my own sake, which is fine too; I love to write and my memory is useless so it will still serve a purpose.
I suppose I'll be around the next couple of months.
Still got to pack, something's holding me back........the spirit, how to get into the spirit of things.
Dreaming of a wild African adventure while heading for la douce France.
Well, let's find out how sweet France can be, for I can tell you things.........
