Sheppie's pile of stones is growing steadily, marking the time spent here.
Exactly halfway, now I'll be counting down to the day we must leave. Sigh.
It doesn't bear thinking of, and I wont, instead I look forward to Tuesday. My sister Mieke, will be arriving then.
We own the cottage together, bought after coming into some money.
She'll travel by plane this time, as she doesn't trust her old car. Understandably, it must qualify as a vintage by now.
Ten days later, our oldest sister Patsy will grace us with her presence, shortly followed by Femke, the youngest.
If  Gait, our  'little' brother, can make it, we'll be complete.

The place will be buzzing.
It'll be fun - it'll be a disaster. Accidents, incidents waiting to happen.  Trust me, I know my siblings.
One thing's for sure - never a dull moment.
So for Peter and me it's the end of a - relatively - tranquil period.
We're gonna have to prepare ourselves for a bumpy ride.

Meanwhile, it's paella at the St. Rabier fete tonight, in the company of our dear neighbors Bernadette and Jaques.
Tomorrow another 'vide grenier' (empty attic) or flea market.
Let's hope the weather holds, it's been a bit fickle lately.

And so the days slip by.
No radio, no tv. No idea what's going on in the world.
Peace and quiet.

Till Tuesday, that is......
