Almost bedtime, just had a quick peek outside. Not quite half moon, but bright as can be, looking like a picture in a fairytale book. Over the tree tops are some streaks of clouds, higher up the sky is clear, a mysterious dark blue with a few scattered stars.
It's cool and smells lovely and fresh as it rained earlier. The frogs are having a field day, or night rather, what a noisy lot!
Tonight we had an unexpected visitor. A huge spider saw fit to join us, a monster, never seen anything like it. Normally, I think nothing of picking  up insects, and having a closer look before escorting them out, but this one.......Alfred Hitchcock would have known what to do with it, I shuddered and left it to Peter to deal with. And he did, armed with a glass and a piece of paper, he bravely tackled the creep. Once safely in the glass, we watched, both fascinated and horrified, as it tried to struggle out. It reminded me most of a small lobster, clawing in the air.
Question is, how many more of these lovelies have moved in here?
If I don't sleep tonight, it wont be because of the bed bugs, that's for sure.

Tomorrow I'll write about today's adventures. Already did, but ya - lost it again. Don't ask, I'm really pissed off about it.
OK, here goes, fingers crossed, and if you never hear from me again, you may well assume some spiders in France are poisonous.
