Melbourne; parked in sister Annie's driveway
Weather: warm and sunny
We needed to do some shopping and there is no better place in Australia than Melbourne to shop.
First stop was "Rays Outdoors", a large camping store, spotted from the tram and we were able to replace our very basic, broken camp chairs with new 6 position padded ones. This was real comfort and they were reduced from $130 each to $85 each. So a good deal all around!
Best of all and unexpectedly Sheila found a pair of hiking boots in the store and bought them.
Next on the list replacement cooking pots; our black nesting set of pots and pans, although only 6 months old were rusty and bad conductors so we needed to replace them urgently and this has taken some time. We need pots that sit inside each other and fit into the microwave for storage; this wasn’t easy but we did find a Tefal set which had removable handles and would store compactly but finally, a Fissler agent in Myers reduced the price of 2 fabulous pots, perfect size, easily stored and of quality German manufacturing! So after much research and foot work we had an ideal result and having used the pots daily since, we are congratulating ourselves on a great buy!
Myers bedding department was having a 30% reduction sale on pillows, Sheila found what she was looking for, and the old Dunlopillow was chucked in the bin!
So our shopping list was ticked off and all items were on sale!!! We do need to do some clothes shopping but we haven’t got too excited about that yet; let’s wait until the sales are on!
We enjoyed our short stay in Melbourne and love catching up with Annie
