After lunch we continued on our bus journey to Prague where we arrived in time to check in to the hostel and then head out to dinner at the hostel restaurant which was a buffet of pasta, chicken, vegies etc.   At dinner I was lucky enough to have a surprise bday cake brought out to me accompanied by the happy bday song, a bottle of vodka from our tour leaded, and a giant delicious cocktail with huge straws.  After dinner (and desert for me) we got ready and headed out for the night (tonight was to be my bday celebration night which was nice).  We went to a rock bar that had all flavours of vodka and where too many people bought me too many bday drinks, and then went on to 5 storey club (each storey had its own theme - top 40, oldies, dance, techno and chill out).  Shortly after arriving we lost Julz n Steve for ages but somehow found each other in the end thankfully.  We partied and danced the night away until it was finally time to head back .  We left to go and get a kebab/pizza snack and then took a taxi home (squeezed 5 into 4 seats after batering).

Saturday 5th May

Woke up (on my bdayJ ) and skyped home for a while which was nice.  Then headed to breakfast and left on a tram to the castle with a bunch of others.  After arriving at the castle (thankfully figuring out which stop it was) we trecked along the stairs up to the castle district after getting yummy watermelon slices and a refreshing lemon slushi.

The walk was worth it as there were great views at top, as well as a nice gothic church which we then climbed the tower of (300 something steps) with an even better view at the top.

We walked back down and on the way did some jumping shots that turned dangerous as Lauren accidently smacked me in the face and bashed my nose before then elbowing me in the eye!  All accidently of course and nothing was broken so all was forgiven.

We then walked to the Charles bridge getting soft cornettos on the way.  We went over the bridge that was full of stalls selling jewellery and paintings and caricatures.

Once on the other side we wandered past the Jewish quarter but it was unfortunately closed as it was a Saturday (their Sabbath) and so headed straight to the main square.  Here we eventually found a little restaurant around the back of the square in which to have lunch at. Julia and I shared some pork ribs which were yummy but unfortunetly didn't get to have any of the Czech dumplings we wanted to order because the waiter kept just telling us no…it was very strange but quite funny.
After lunch the group split up a bit and a bunch of us girls went for a giggle at the sex machine museum…
Then it was just Julia, Lauren and myself left and we went to the tower where we were able to take an elevator to the top for some more lovely views over the square.  At the bottom of the tower we waited around to watch the clock hit the hour (it played some music and had a little thing going around in it).

We then began to make our way slowly back to the hostel, shopping at the markets and at some stores along the way.  We also passed a massive line for book signing of the eragon author (the line was ridiculously long) and then we got the metro back to hostel (with fee who we bumped into at the station).  Back at the hostel we had pizza for dinner and afew drinks at bar before going back for a small party in the room.  Julia had so very sweetly decorated our room with balloons and candles and chocolates and toilet paper banners and other random items which was a lovely bday surprise.  After a while I passed out at my own party (party being myself, Julz, Lauren and Steve…) for a good nights sleep after an awesome Prague bday.
