Where I stayed
Our week in Fredonia consisted of at least three Christmases and other family related stuff. We caught up with Grandma, three of four sets of Aunts, Uncles and cousins and other more distant relatives. All of this was why we were there and basically consisted of us going to other peoples houses and eating their food, very good indeed. A special mention goes to my cousin's wife Victoria, who managed to flawlessly pull off a 3 course meal for 16 people. And they had the most amazing indoor Christmas display not in a department store.
The other thing of note for people who don't see snow very often (like us) was the snow
About halfway through our Fredonia time it got warm and the snow started to melt. Very scientific, but true. So we played in it and threw it. Did you know that you can get a black eye from a snowball? Unsurprisingly you can, especially when they are thrown over a short distance directly into your eye by your littlest brother.
The upshot of all this was that we didn't have much of a white Christmas when it came. Oh well... maybe we can get Dad to fund another trip. Scandinavia would be a nice place to visit. And there would be a very high probability of snow toward the end of December.
