I lost my last entry from scotland in the cyber world and now lost my head after consectutive partying nights in Thailand.
Much easier to accept these losses when your on the road.

I Arrived in Bangkok exhausted from the longer than expected flights with friday the thirteenth to blame. Met up with my commonwealth team members and headed into Bangkok via taxi. South african was a vetran and teacher from London was fresh like me. A familiar sight we were, huffing our bags down Co San road the backpacking district, found a great hotel with a roof top pool and made ourselves right at home.

Later to witness the ping pong district and I don't even know if thats the real name for it but, you can only imagine why the name is what it is backpacking district
backpacking district
. As you can see on the pictures I posted, I was one of the lucky ones to have my name written on a piece of paper care
of a lovely local dancer, very gifted they are, she didn't even use her hands to write it... say no more.

A entertaining first night in the district and I can say its definalty one of those experiences you would like to do only once. Next day was spent cruising down the bangkok canals in a long tail boat to what could have been the thai version of Venice minus the poshness.

Next, we took a bus at 6pm to arrive at phi phi the next day around 4pm. I was more relieved than excited to be on Ko phi phi after the patience testing hot and clammy bus ride. The island is as breath taking as the pictures. Still in the process of rebuilding but, still a beautiful sight.

I spent the last four evenings visiting the local bars instead of the taking advantage of what nature has to offer. I should have taken the advice when people told me to stay away from the buckets of drinks they serve here. There must be a secret ingredient because they are absolutely deadly.

Will be enjoying the islands more tomorrow after my body recovers from the last few days of excess. My next adventure will be to get my scuba license. Thats me, on Ko Phi Phi, not much else to report as my days are now filled with warm beaches and turqoise water.
