I'm not even packed yet!  What am I doing, writing this thing???? After 3 1/2 rather hectic weeks at home, I am heading back to India tomorrow and, barring catastrophe, I won't be home again until July.  I am a little frantic.  I have spent many hours in the last few days posting pictures to all my SE Asia Travelpod entries, so you can now go and look at them at your leisure.  I am mostly creating this entry to have a spot to put Thailand pictures, since there isn't anywhere else to put them.

There are still some loose ends that refuse to be tied up - like my plane ticket home - but I must take a leap of faith and just jump.  I started this; I can't quit in the middle.  My basic schedule for the next couple of months is:  fly to Kolkata, where I am being met by a friend of some friends of a Sandia Prep parent.  Despite my being a total stranger, this man has made me hotel reservations, booked my train ticket to Bodh Gaya, and insists on meeting me at the airport Royal barge procession
Royal barge procession
!  So I will be pampered for 3 days in Kolkata.  Then I take an overnight train on Jan. 6th to Bodh Gaya, where I will join a group of volunteers from Ratna Ling and Odiyan to work at the 10-day Monlam Festival, distributing the books I helped make this past summer.  After that, I plan to visit Darjeeling for a week, and then head back to McLeod Ganj where I spent a month 3 years ago.  I have booked myself into the same wonderful guesthouse I stayed in before, and have contacted the school where I taught English about volunteering again.  I will be there for the month of February, during Tibetan New Year and the Dalai Lama's teachings, which I hope to attend.  I have a plane ticket to fly Delhi to Kathmandu on March 5th, and I will spend the following 2 months volunteering with Helping Hands Health Education in Nepal.  I will keep adding to this blog and hopefully figure out a faster way to add pictures while I am overseas.

Enjoy the photos and please keep in touch!
