Well, this was always on our itinery but we fast-forwarded it because Larey was coming!! Yeay! It had been a year since I'd seen her before she set off on her own traveling adventure and it was great we crossed paths! We'd also met up with some Irish lads and an English girl on the bus over, and we all shared a dorm which was nice. The first shock was that Singapore was really really Expensive!!!! (funny because to Larey everything was pretty cheap!)
The first night was a drunken one at a BBQ because it was (apparently) Australia day, though what that means no one knew! Anyway, a lot of beer was consumed, but we were crafty and got it for free by entering in all the drinking games and doing admirably well if i do say so myself. We only lost to the bars home team, so good effort all round i say!
To be fair we didn't really do much in Singapore, the hostel we stayed in was great to chill out in and me and Clare were just talking nonstop for the entire time. However we did make an outing to Singapore Zoo, which, hands down, best Zoo in the world!!!! Never seen anything like it! They have everything and compared to Kathmandu Zoo this is the Ritz of animal places all over!! They all looked happy and great and even though it rained we didn't care!!
Again it was a short but sweet (and expensive) stop, very sad to leave Larey at the end but so glad i saw her, and then we headed back to......Thailand, once again!
