OK so I was flipping through channels last night before I went to bed and I came across a German shopping channel (I think it was a shopping channel!) and the host was some chick who was buck naked throughout the whole show! Weird...

Woke up this morning and took the tram to the Nazi Documentation Center. It is housed in the Congress Hall that Hitler had built (or started to build). It is the largest intact structure remaining of the Nazis. The museum was really good and you get a headset with your admission to explain all the displays. It talks about how the Nazis came to power and why the Germans fell for such a thing. Afterwards you can walk around the complex and see where they did their marches and see the zepplin field. This is where Hitler would do his mass speeches for their rallies. It was weird that I stood right where Hitler did these speeches. A bunch of kids were skateboarding all around it. If you goof off performing any Nazi salutes you will be arrested. The field is huge and would fit around 200, 000 spectators. The field is said to be 9 football fields long!

Afterwards I toured around the old town some more. I wanted to see it when it is sunny and warm instead of the rain like when I arrived. Everything is closed as it is May Day which is a laborer holiday. There are parades on the streets and many street performers. The police are in full action watching these big grouping of punk rocker like kids who are sitting around drinking. They aren't doing much, but maybe after a few drinks they would. The cops here drive BMW's! It is weird to see people walking the streets with beer in their hands drinking away. Everyone so far has been really friendly and everyone speaks English. I still will try to talk the language to order something, but they will tell right away that I don't speak very well and start talking to me in English!

I am addicted to German beer and I keep wondering in to new beer gardens to sample a local brew. Almost every block has a patio and on a sunny day like today I have been frequenting a few!
