Where I stayed
I am so glad that I brought along my netbook as I have downloaded all episodes of Arrested Development and it kills time while I wait for my connection in Toronto. I probably look like the creepy person that everyone is hoping that they don't sit beside on the plane, as I am smiling from ear to ear watching it. It is a very funny show if you haven't seen it yet. I think I also may have caught the special senior flight as I am surrounded by a sea of blue hair, golf shirts and Dockers. Something to look forward to later on in life...looks like all the cool kids are going somewhere else.
There was one younger guy sitting across from me that has the coolest t-shirt. It says "I'm Polish, but don't taser me please". He's got guts to wear that at the airport! No word of a lie, but a few minutes later I looked out the window, and by our plane was a Police Tactical Unit van. I guess it isn't the RCMP so he is safe! Haha.
I sat beside this man-Nabil-who is from Toronto but also lives and works in Budapest. He seemed like a very interesting man and it was nice to kill time talking to him. He has worked and traveled all around the world and it was nice to pick his brain. He just celebrated his 30th wedding anniversary and he says that he loves to travel and his wife hates it and stays home....sounds familiar!
I managed to get some sleep on the plane, but not enough. It would be nice to be able to recline your seat a little more, and I am pretty stiff this morning. There was also tons of turbulence and my head kept banging off the window.
