After a sleep in the next day, we did one of the top things that the guidebooks said no stop in Dublin would be without. A place that honours both the religion and culture of the region. We did a tour of the Guinness factory. It's interesting to see the brewing at work, but Kate is not enamoured with 'the black stuff' as I am, so I had to (unfortunately) finish off both pints.
The hot weather is continuing here as well with another hot day here again, with temperatures more than 30 degrees. We brought a number of warm clothes for these parts, but so far have been getting around in shorts and t-shirts. The places we are going to also seem similarly unprepared, with a distinct lack of air conditioners in a lot of bars and restaurants. It also hasn't been helped too much by the extended daylight up here. Last night, when we arrived, it was still light at 10.30 at night. Makes it a bit hard to go to sleep when it's still light outside.
We aren't in Dublin long, so just getting a quick taste of things.
