Hi all...

It was time for Cruise - we are headed towards Miami - it was myself and Joshua.  We were so looking forward to this.  I mean 7 luxurious days on board an incredible ship with so much to do and see.

The ship itself was an itinerary onto itself. It was so large that it encompassed about 3 football fields long and equally as wide as one.  Put it this way - you literally forgot that you were on a ship.

We were able to shop, play sports in the sporting area, rock climb and even jog on the outdoor running track - there was so much to do on board that you never tired of the activities.
I did not really have to worry about Joshua and keeping him entertained, put it this way - he was gone for the entire days that we were at Sea. He was 13 years old at the time and he just got up and went to breakfast by himself and then off he went to do his activities - and he was kept busy all day long - literally.  It was funny, I was doing something or lying in the sun by the pool and thought about him and hoped  he was ok then moments later, I would see him galloping across the deck with his friends that he met and off they went.  He was set. He did not need any money as I got him a pop/drink card for all the beverages he can want and all the food and juice on board was also included so he was set. There was nothing a young man of 13 was lacking for on this cruise.  He enjoyed himself immensely.

As for me - I mean wow - I was in paradise, the ship itself was paradise. There was so much for me to see and do,.  I did what I do best - "I explored" - there was so much to explore too.  The best parts of the ship, well that was all of it.  I lounged by the pool in my bikini (I looked *hot*) and I went dancing in one of the many dance pubs - and there was music for every taste - and I was so happy I had found one that played a lot of electronic music, ok I was in heaven indeed.  Then there was an amazing piano bar - and yep, after a few drinks, even I joined in on the singing,  It was a blast.

Shopping was also aplenty aboard this ship. So I bought souvenirs. I bought someone special to me at the time a very nice bracelet that was (I am told) only sold on board Carnival Cruise Lines.  It was a special mark and only made for them - so I got one for someone - let's just say that she did like it when she received it.

There were so many types of shops on board as well, something for everyone from the budgetary shopper to the lavish spender.  I did end up spending a fair amount on souvenirs.  Oh well,...hehe, it was fun.

Now can you say 5lbs gained after the cruise - well that is because there is food and I mean food everywhere and of all types.  They had everything you could imagine.  Specialty burgers and pizza places, Ice cream shops and even an amazing Thai food place...Now if you were hungry-oh heck, you were never hungry on board a ship because food is available you just
You could dine at your leisure in the buffets for breakfast lunch and dinner or go to the beautiful dinning room ballroom type and be royally pampered.  It was worth it and you get to dress up which I enjoyed.  I am not a total girly girl, but it was fun dressing up, especially for the Captain's dinner.

As for being occupied, indeed there was something for everyone - the main events were the incredible broadway style shows performed in the massive theatre.  The shows were incredible but we were not allowed to take pics :(

I could go on and on about the ship and the experience of on board life but I think the pictures will speak for themselves.

This is my second most favored type of travel - cruise ship to beautiful beach ports - it is second only to an amazing backpacking adventure,,,

Enjoy everyone...
