Here we are in Hershey, home of CHOCOLATE - it was incredible, everywhere looked there was something chocolate about the entire town.
The boys and I got bags of chocolate to bring back and unfortunately I might add that we ate a lot of it within the next few days (oh we were bad - but it was oh so good - mmmmm, yummy)...
Now as we left Gettysburg to go to Hershey, we stumbled upon this really cool car museum and we decided to step in for a visit. It was a pretty cool place with cars, trucks, buses etc from the early 1900's all the way up to the 1990s...the boys loved all the hot-rods and sports cars
We spent an entire day at the car museum and then next morning it was onto the chocolate factory.
Oh my - how does one describe an entire factory just for chocolate and the size of the facilities - well it was GINORMOUS....LOL, it was big.
The smell of chocolate permeated your senses all the way into the parking lot - as soon as we got out of the car we knew there was chocolate to be had.
We were all eager to get in there and start sampling - they had tons of it as well, oh my. We did so much sampling that let's just say that we were not hungry at all for dinner after we left there.
There was nearly every brand/type of chocolate that we all have come to enjoy and love - if you wanted it, it was there - some were ok but they also had specialty chocolate and I must say that it nearly rivaled some of the chocolate that I had gotten in Switzerland - not all, just a few but still it was yummy
With our tummies full from sampling we then headed to the factory itself for the tours. Wow, what a set-up. It was something to see. The thing that we noticed was the amount of milk everywhere. I mean wow, lots of it.
Hmmm, what else to say about Hershey, Pennsylvania is we enjoyed our time here immensely and the boys and I had our fill of chocolate for - a week - yep only a week as you can never fully satisfy your craving for amazing chocolate.
Oh and one more thing - we got pounds of it for quite a ridiculous price.
Can you say more Chocolate...mmmmm, so so delicious.
