The Amalfi drive is the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen along the Italian Coastline.
We stopped at a factory in Sorrento on how they made furniture inlay and they were all beautiful and expensive to bring back, lolz. Then we re-baorded the coach on the narrow and steep winding coastal roads to the city of Amalfi. We strolled taround the Piazza del Duomo and took pix of the 13th century Cathedral of St. Andrew. We had lunch at a restaurant with delicious pasta and their local wine. We continued winding our way towards Pompeii. Again, I couldn't believe I was walking the ruins of Pompei. We took pictures of actual pictures of people that were fossilized by the lavas of Mt. Vesuvius. It was a very warm day and for a while there I hoped that volcano wouldn't errupt that day, lolz. We also stopped at the cameo factory to see how this delicate work is done. It was a good day all in all before we headed back to the ship and enjoyed this excursion. I was elated I've seen a lot in Italy starting from Rome, then the Greek Isles and most of all the great Pyramids. I was elated from my trip and might want to do this again in some future.
