After passing by the Coloseum on the way to the Vatican city yesterday, we all agreed that we needed to see this great piece of history the very next day. So we hopped on the red bus again and almost ran to the gates. 11euros to get in on a guided tour. It was well worth it! Where do I start? This was the place where the Roman emperors put on "the games". where people could watch the gladiators fight. Not exactly my cup of tea but here I was, walking the same grounds. It was sad to think of transpired here including all the animals that were thrown in for entertainment.
