People are wearing winter jackets here. It's making me want to laugh hysterically probably with a twinge of maniacal madness in there seeing as it's about 10C outside here. Do they have ANY idea where I'm going? And that I have no socks? And I'm wearing a tank top? Thank god my sweatpants are from Canada....I currently am sweating in them....and some lady was putting make-up on on the way over here and I thought to myself why?! But now I'm just writing to see myself write.
Obviously nothing exciting has happened since I last wrote. I'm a little more wilted, a little more crumpled and if I have to take my laptop out of my Very Full carry-on bag one more time to go through security when I just got off a plane (?!?!) I may snap. WHAT was I thinking asking Dad to bring this stupid 30lbs hunk of annoyance?? Well, at least I did get to steal a bunch of songs from people and put them on my ipod so I guess that's a plus. But never again. Singapore had nice itty bitty laptops I was stroking for a good three hours. I almost bought one until I remembered I'm too poor to buy coffee in Korea. So no new shiny technology for me.
I'm still tired. I have no idea what time my brain thinks it is. Definitely not 5:30pm - feels more like 3am? Though it's not that in NZ either... don't they say going back home is worse? At least I'm gaining a day so I can attempt to recuperate before my first day of work on the 17th (what the hell was I thinking?!!??!). Glutton for punishment am I. No, wait, too poor to buy coffee in Korea. Right.
Have any of you seen Wall-e? I sat through the entire movie burbling like an idiot over a children's film about robots. How pathetic. But seriously, it's adorable and I fell a little bit in love with Wall-e and his little robot girlfriend.
I also spent a good amount of time listening to 'Sex on Fire' by Kings of Leon on repeat. I love that song. It's a bit of an obsession. When I actually allowed myself to listen to the rest of the songs on the CD they too rock and when I have a little bit more than the cost of coffee in Korea, I will most likely purchase it. NOT on sale. That's just how good it is.....because everyone knows I only buy things that are On Sale.
Oh and...I now want to go to Saudi Arabia. Damn super glossy magazine pictures of ancient tombs in the golden desert!
Annnnnnnnd how exciting was THIS update?? Wowee. I think I'll go do some jumping jacks in hopes that all these blood clots forming in my legs won't end up traveling to my heart.
See you in Vancouver! (What do you wanna bet there is no free internet there?)
