Those words seemed to be the theme of my time in Thames. Full of colour, inspiration and creativity I have enjoyed myself thoroughly here and am sad to be leaving. But, to leave you with another theater cliche, the show must go on!!
I haven't done much in the time here and yet I've always been busy just living a different sort of life to the one I lead at home. I never, in a million years, would have thought that working in a shop (or the idea of owning/running one) in an itty bitty town and having other projects on the side could be so soul-satisfying. But it has been and could be, as a future life, if my own ended up looking similar. I have surprised myself with how -full- I've felt here and though I haven't been doing anything I could consider "important" (in the grand scheme of I-must-save-the-world things) I have felt content, relaxed and accomplished all the same.
It was also a blessing to be surrounded by such creativity and enthusiasm for the arts. How refreshing! I owe a huge thank you to Jennifer for shaking awake my creativity and inspiring me to make it a bigger part of my life again. YAY!
Tuesday I leave here to pick up the rental car and Julia (German girl I met in Samoa) and then we're heading to the south island, stopping in every single gorgeous place we see along the way. Or at least that's the plan. I don't have that much time left here - shockingly - and I'm beginning to feel the push to DO MORE and SEE IT ALL!!
