Flying in one day, waiting for another, diving three times the next, once the day after that and promptly flying out again does not happy ears make. It does, however, a glee-filled squeeing idiot of a girl make me.

It's strange to watch the videos I took (renting an underwater digital camera - smartest idea EVER) and feel like I'm watching someone else. My ecstatic insides are plastered so obviously on the outside (my favourite being when I turn the camera to myself numerous times to show Just How Excited I AM!!!!!) and it gives me this disconcerting - though not negative - feeling of pride in being able to give that excited glee-filled girl this experience she is so obviously enjoying. I can't really explain the distinct split of personalities I felt while watching the excitement on my own face. Again, disconcerting but nothing to write my shrink about. ;)

As you get older (and yes, I know I'm not that old) it gets more difficult to uproot yourself - even for me, ladies and gentlemen - and haul ass across the globe. I was pretty comfortably and firmly entrenched in a lifestyle I found satisfying and enjoyable. I turned down opportunities, both personal and professional, to come out here and live a dream even if I had no idea where that dream would lead me. It was both terrifying and exhilerating to shed all the restraints of my "real life" and run amok to the other side of the world. Exhilerating but still terrifying.

Watching these videos and not even recognizing myself for all the pure joy in my face, I am so thankful I uprooted my sorry old arse, gave up comfort and stability and gave in to uncertainty and adventure. It was the best decision I could have made.

Enjoy the pictures!! Yes, there are MANY and more of Sydney to come.

lots to say ~lol~
ok first why are you not singing Nemo songs or littler mermaid songs? Horrid Rob says it is just a crime ~lol~.

Now on to my comments, so on a lark I decided to turn on the sound to watch the videos and OMG I was suprised at how much sound you captured. It was wicked fun trying to figure out what each little sound was, so I thank you for that. I know it is something I will never do, I can't even put my face in water without freaking about not being able to breath, to be that far under the water, well at least I got to watch it from your eyes.

The pictures you got where amazing. I am so pleased to see them, and the ones where the sun must have been hitting just right and you got all that color with no blue, wow, it is so amazing to see.

I am glad you got to give that little girl a dream she has had, but more glad that you have been able to share it with many of us with no hope of living it ourselves. For all your joy you are providing as much to the rest of us.

Ok this is getting sappy can ya tell I miss you? I hope you live all your dreams but hurry up and come home already.
