Our first stop was in Paris. I wasnt too excited about it just cuz I've already seen it. Ellie and I became friends quick, she too has already been to Paris and so together we saved our pennies and just wandered the streets. We started our walking tour at the Arc de Triumph, which is the arc that commemorates the war and its soldiers. From there we wandered down the Champs Elysees all the way to the Place du Concord, home of the Obelisk. We got some lunch afterwards and had a romantic picnic by the Eiffel Tower. I ended up turning it into a fiesta =) We really wanted to see the Catacombes and b/c we were on a penny saving mode, we figured we walk. We of course took the wrong streets and instead of making it a 30min walk it turned into an hour and a half journey. Once we got there it was closed! O well, we walked back to enjoy a dinner and some cotchin time at the campsite only to go back to the Eiffel tower later that evening.
Again, b/c we've already been up the Eiffel Tower, we skipped out on that and decided to do some more mere wandering about. We walked up to the fountains, and as we were walking we got brutally violated by the men selling the Eiffel Tower souvenirs. Once comes up and sayd "BLING BLING SEXY LADY?" another, while taking a photo on the grass, asks me to keep smilling while he darws me. I replied that he can darw but I wont' pay. so then he asks if ellie and I had boyfriends and just to get rid of him, I said we were together. as we were walking away, he sayd "make sure you ahve fun tonight b/c I have a camera in y our room, so i"ll be watching!" We were disgusted!!!
We met the gangunder a tree and waitined for the others to come down the tower as we were hiding from the rain and lightening. At 9:30pm or so the entire tower was lit up blue. At 10pm it started to sparkle! it as the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. We had a surprise Champagne and Cheese picnic at 11:30pm when it started again. Afterwards we headed back to the campsite, hung out at the pub, then had a sweet as conversation with the boys about sex and about what not to do. (hands up behind your head!) It was a fun night that I enjoyed fully.
The next dday we drove to Versaille to see marie Antoinette's and King Luois' home and back garen. It was absolutely amazing. 8 of us, including myself, hired a boat for 30 min and had such a good row down the middle of the river. Unreal I tell ya! Afterwards we went to a restaurant for some drinks . I had the BEST cappucino I could have ever asked for. It was exactly what I needed and lacked in the last few days. Later in the evening we went to a Cabaret show that I found avverage. Only b/c Ive seen Cirque de Soleil and many other shwows I found this. For what we paid for it, I though it was alright. That night was also unique and hilarious cuz Peter and myself started a joke that we were getting married just to see how much free shit we could get. So at the show, before it actually began, he proposed to me. Got down on one knee and did the entire thing; made a speach, held my hand, put a ring on my finger, smiled, all of it. The whole of the room was staring. Girls had there jaws dropped and everyone simply stared. It was cool. A bit weird but a good fun laugh. After the bootle of Champagne each, Uta and I got a little adventurous. for me it was like normal, nothing new in kissing a girl, but for the viewwers it was pleasure to see. It was a fun coach ride as quoted by Colin. We had fun at the pub till about 2AM, then headed to bed, to make our way to Lyon to see the wine region of France.
