I only spent two days in the Cameron Highlands but I managed to see quite alot! I did two tours, the first was not as good as the second. Between the two I visited strawberry farms, butterfly farms, tea plantations, rose garden and the mossy forest where we did a mini trek and our guide pointed out various native plants. Was quite good actually! On the first tour, it was just me and this Indian guy and the tour guide and I got along well with the Indian guy who spent alot of time trying to convince that I should pursue a career in IT...
On second tour I was the only non-asian. This was fine except I didn't catch much of the conversation! Luckily I met a nice young Singaporean couple who I spent the day with and they offered to let me know the good places in Singapore to go when I get there!
It rained very heavily that night so I just stayed at the hostel and I met two Dutch girls so I talked to them for most of the evening and watched a couple of films. That is the extent of my stay in the Cameron Highlands. I stayed in a 8 bed dorm where there were two resident old men also staying which we all found a bit weird! It got quite cold a night which was a pleasant change from KL!
On the second day I caught the bus back to Kuala Lumpur where I was to spend one night. I had dinner at a great Indian restaurant for hardly any money at all! On my way back to the hostel I met a Canadian guy called Suji and we got talking then ended up going out drinking in the city until 2am which was good fun. Then I went back to my hostel for a couple of hours sleep before getting up to catch my next bus to the East Coast!
