Hello,
I arrive Thursady in Harbin, little city in China ( that's what they told me ) about 3.5 million people, we all have different way of seeing things :)
I met Nicolai in the bus, very good Russian man with who we spend this few days together here. We met Yu Song Ye from Shangai and he was a great help for many different actions around the city, cause honestly Chinese for me sounds like "........."
I had the chance to arrive for the opening day of the Ice festival....something completly unreal, with ice amazing ice sculptures, some of them are about 15 meters high.
There are lots of them around the city, but especially at the Zhaolin Park.
This years of course is about Olympic Games.
you can have a look at few pictures here: http://images.google.cn/images?complete=1&hl=zh-CN&newwindow=1&q=ice+lantern+festival+harbin&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi or http://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/heilongjiang/harbin/ice_snow.htm
I visited the Siberian Tiger park, about 400 hunreds of this magnificient big cats...

I heard many good things about chinese food before arriving to China, and ican tell you it wasn't a lie. I'm going today to Beijing, about 16 hours train, to see what they call a big Chinese city, and to try this famous duck.
I don't have much time before taking the train...so i will stop here and wish you a very good time wherever you are or doing...and for those who believe in Santa Close I wish you a Happy Christmas....and a very special one to little Evan in Dublin, for his first Christmas.
Take care

Happy new year!!!
Salut Nico,
Eric.
