Hello,

Today i had a very good feeling, beeing for the first time in Asia, ok only for few minutes but from tomorrow i will definitly cross the border for hopefully few months.
I'm in Magnitogorsk (Oural) since 2 days, the city has the Oural river passing threw in the middle of the city and formed the border between Europe and Asia...so we walked the other side just to have a little taste of it...
We arrive in Magnitogorsk with Valya after 27 hours hitchicking, for 900 km it's not too bad, when you know that the road in Russia are pretty shitty, especially more east you go. Many funny things happened, like this 2 guys who took us in their van, they asked us money for petrol, we told them that we don't have anything, they went to all petrol stations and shops along the way to exchange a mobile phone for a bit of petrol. Finally they succeed but not for few litters, it was in the middle of the night so when petrol finish we stopped for few hours sleep until one guy bring them some money, have no idea where the guy came from...but we could go further where they stopped us in the middle of nowhere...all we could see was unending lands, it's so good feeling.
Anyway after few more drivers we arrive in Magnitogorsk at 1.30am, where Valyia's mother made us some food, we had a nice bath after 3 days it's beautifull...and went to bed at 6, so tired that we couldn't sleep.
Tomorrow we will hitchick to Tcheliabinsk at 400km where i get a 56 hours train to Irkutsk (Siberia), it's gonna be nice adventure to, cause i will cross Kazakstan by train with 1 entry visa, logically if i leave the country i'm not allowed to come back but hopefully with the train it will be different. For all foreigners, when you enter in Russia you must registered your visa from a hostel, hotel, police staion or resident after maximum 3 working days, and of course when i wanted to do it, it was too late, so hopefully i will just have to pay some money to police when they will check my passeport, but for sure when i cross the border to Mongolia it will happen something strange, i can feel it already...but what a hell police station must be warm even in Siberia...i start to really feel the cold, and apparently they plan a very rude winter, there is a lot of wind in Mongolia...i'm not sure if the tracking by horse i've planed is a good idea, i will see when i'm there...

So until now i couldn't dream of better journey...I'm really looking forward of Siberia, even thought it won't be all white...

Hope you all having a good time :)))

I've put some pictures in my previous entries so you can check :)

hey there!!
Nico, my man!
So awesome to read about your adventures every time. You really brighten up my day when I sit in my shitty office ;-)
I am really happy for you that you're having such a great time on your travel (just make sure not to run into too many policemen...)!
Keep on writing, you cannot believe how some of us rely on your stories to cheer us up!
Hoping to hear from ya!
Ciao,
Sandro
