I'm now in Kazan, city half othodox half muslem. If you want to have a look go to :
They celebrated the 1000 years of the city 2 years ago, and built an amazing Mosque in the middle of the old Kremlin:
You can see the old buildings, and monuments. There are many beautifull othodox, christian churches and mosques.
Many temples and holly places.

I had this feeling that city will be nice and i don't regret at all to have spend so little time in moscow to come here. We arrive with Natashya by train, it took us 13 hours from Moscow, we took it at night and i have experienced my first long journey in russian train, i stayed in the bed most of the time, quite confortable. We met Slava her very good friends she've met in India. He took us to our flat, 2 rooms appartment just for both of us, took us to a a holly place with old churches very nice. And then we met one of her friends who speak english, i was so happy, such a long time that i didn't speak normal english. Slava doesn't speak a word, Natashya spoke 15 words when i met her, and try so hard to learn for her next traveling. so we spent 5 days with a little larrouse dictionary to translate word by word...i'm telling you that you get vety tired, but at the end i realized that we manage to speak about so much things. Slava invite 4 of us to restaurant and some few drinks, i tried many time to pay, but impossible, he has this tradition that if you are his guest you will not pay for for 3 days i couldn't take money out, and he never answered me when i ask him if he payed for our flat....he just love people and it's so sincere.

Today i will hitchike to Magnitogorsk (Oural) with Valentina, she was also et Elba Festival. She arrived from Moscow yesterday by hitchiking...and guess what? she is a good friend of Slava, they travel also together. They couldn't believe that we knew each other...(hard to explain this feelin to be at 3000km from home and meet people you different people in different places and suddenly you find out that they all know each is the hitchikers world)
I met here again many people from Elba (Lutz, Udav) who are some of the people creating this festival 15 years ago, there are 3 per years and never missed one of them, even thought thay have to hitchike sometimes for 3 days to get there.. we slept in there place, old house abandoned that's they renovated, no water and very few electricity...but so warm people living there...
It's amazing how Russia is small, ,just meeting the same people again and again since I arrived in St Petersburg.

I would love to explain you this feeling i have about Russian people but it's impossible, you have to come and see by yourself.
I remember all the people who told me about Russia, that i was crazy to go alone in this country, I can tall you that the only people you have to be afraid of, is the police....but if you have a bit of money everything is fine.
I took few pictures of policeman getting money from people, they don't really care it's just normal here, once i saw a guy arguing with a policeman, and he went to the kiosk 10 meters from there and bought him a cigaret pack....and then no more arguing.....

I will go after Magnitogorsk to Irkutsk probably a little bit hichicking and then Transiberian train.

I have very good time here and it's still warmer than Ireland in summer, every day between 15 and 18 degres, since i arrived i had almost sunny day every days:)

So that's it for now.

I will give you more news about Magnitogorsk.

Thank you very much to all this beautifull people i've met since the beggin of this trip, they are many...and especially to Ance, Karisha, Lucya, Valya, Margus, Rego, Margit, Liga, Slava, gosia, Liza and Rusya and of course all the hitchickers from Elba....

Peace and Love
