Well we were driving through CO, and if you are a Tim Mcgraw fan you have to drive through Telluride.  This was a cool little hippie town that again was covered in snow.  Well we started off the day trying to drive to the south rim of the black canyons....it must be fate that we should not go there.  Again we got snowed out.  So we headed south to that sleepy little town.  Luckily the weather cleared up for a little bit as we made it into Telluride.  Once we left though it started to act up again.  I do have to say though the Highlander makes it much easier to get around in the snow.  Then we were off to Mesa Verde.  We were mad that is was snowing so we had to make a decision to either go to Mesa Verde or stop and get a hotel, so we called Kara's friend Kristian for some advice.  He told us that it never snows in Mesa Verde and that we would be fine.  With this advice we trucked on to our next stop......Sunny Mesa Verde!!!

Picture 23 of the trees 'outside of telluride' is awesome. What beautiful country you are seeing. Are you warm enough? Gotta run... Love you both, Mom
