Ft. Stockton aka Fort Awesome

After the fun times in San Antonio and visiting the Alamo (which only reminds me of PeeWee Hermans Big Adventure and finding his bike in the basement) We were back in the car to trek across the rest of the width of Texas...along the way we took a bunch of pictures of the landscape and sunset.  We got to Fort Stockton around 8:00pm and found the Cheapest hotel around which was the lovely Budget Inn.

We pulled up to our room and there was a guy passed out in his truck with a big ass cowboy hat on listening to "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me" on repeat. I felt like I was stuck back in the 80s or watching Wedding Singer over and over. Anyways, its an experience right??

Food Bucket

There was absolutely nothing to eat in this town besides fast food, so we decided to just pick up a pizza from wonderful Pizza Hut and go back to the room and watch some Entourage....only Vinny can make me happy in Fort Stockton, TX..well besides Chris I mean :)  This morning we stopped off at the Food Bucket for a refill on the turkey for the cooler and some other snacks and were off to Carlsbad, NM for some cavern hiking.

Its been a long ride, but we are finally out of Texas and into New Mexico.  but the scenery is still the same....Oh well time for some hiking...talk to yall later. Love, Kara and Chris
