We arrived sun night to a wonderful dinner outside in the amazing screened in back yard...it helps that it was 80 degrees. soooo nice.
We hung out that night and Chris and Paige had a heated wii match, Im still not sure who won. Amy and I had a sleepover in her room (I found out that I am finally too tall to sleep in a twin bed) and Chris slept in the guest room with all our electronics to keep him company. Monday morning it was off to Universal studios. They have a new (well new since I was there last) park, Islands of Adventure which is more of the roller coaster type rides. The Hulk and Spiderman were our two favorites, along with dueling dragons.
The park wasnt crowded at all so we got through all the rides by 2:00 and then went through citywalk over to the original Universal park and did most of those rides too. Including Jaws, which by the way if anyone can remember the movie or tv show where someone wanted to propose on the Jaws ride, ill love you forever cause I forget.
The Men in Black ride was fun, you got your own laser gun and shot at aliens. I Killed Chris with a score of 145,000 and he only had 35,000....guess Im a better aim. That night back at the house was definitely hot tub time...soooooo nice and relaxing in the screened in backyard and pool. Tuesday we were off to Epcot, which is my personal favorite.
Where else can you travel the world in one day? The weather was somewhat overcast, so we borrowed the goofy bright yellow ponchos with mickey mouse on them from Donna, fortunately we didnt have to use them. We started out the day with the best video game ever, Misson: Space. It is a flight simulator that creates all the G forces that you would experience launching from Earth and traveling to Mars. It was really fun, but you defintely were a little woobly after doing that. Then we traveled the different countries at the world showcase, we avoided the nachos in mexico drew.
We bought some chopsticks in Japan, watched the 360 movies in China, France and Canada and had pastries in France. Overall a very cool experience. When we finished the countries it started raining so we went inside and rode one of their newest rides, Soaring...which is a huge IMAX screen and a ride that makes you feel like you are hang gliding, as they play scenes from California. Pretty fun, the lady next to Chris actually thought she was flying and was screaming the entire time. Comedy. By the time we went back outside it had stopped raining, perfect timing. On the way out we had to stop and go on the ride inside the epcot ball (yes chris it is a ball not a dome) which was a SLOW moving ride into the past.
So after a fun filled day at disneyworld we went back to Dave and Donna's and then they took us all out to a mexican restaurant for dinner, and then back home for some idol watching. The past few days were a blast, it was really good seeing family again that I havent seen in a few years. The girls are just as wild and crazy as ever and so much fun. So Dave and Donna, thanks again for having us, we really enjoyed our visit. We are now on the road again and off to Daphne, AL to see my Hobie for the night, and maybe pick up some bbq for lunch if chris is good. haha. hope everyone is having a great week at work...miss you all :)
Love, Kara and Chris
Back in the car again after a few fun filled days in Orlando Florida with my Aunt, Uncle and two crazy cousins Amy who turns 14 today, and Paige who turned 10 two weeks ago.
