Another week in Cobram and my sister Ann came to visit from Griffith.  We had a lovely time exploring together and enjoyed chatting with  the very informative owner at the Herb and lavendar farm on the way to Yarrawonga, visiting checking out Mulwala across the border and the interesting shops at Yarrawonga and were thrilled by the cacti and succulents at the Cactus Country at Strathmerton.  We went here after work so H was able to come too and as many cacti flowers are only out in the evening and early morning we were treated to a fantastic display.  I had been last week during the day and couldn't believe the difference!  On our last day, we visited Monichino Winery at Katunga and decided we like these wines best of all the wine we have tasted in the area. The vineyard produces a low yield of high quality fruit but can sell them cheaper than at some of the other areas. Our host, Peter talked us into trying an Orange Muscat cold from the fridge, and whereas I don't usually go for the sweet wines, I was very impressed with this one. We staggered away with a box of wines each!!!
