After sailing all night and the morning, we docked at 1 PM in the port of Messina, Sicily Italy. Sicily is an island, and was damaged almost 100% in an Earthquake in 1908. We enjoyed the view from our balcony, and stayed on the ship relaxing and playing cards. Tyler and Kyla did venture into town to buy Kyla a hair straightener and Tyler to get a haircut. But the language barrier was too formidable - Kyla did get her straightener but Tyler could not get across to the stylist what he wanted. No English spoken here! The kids were thrilled though when they found diet Pepsi. Coke is usually all that is offered in Europe. Good cold Diet Pepsi!
