So far so good...We woke up after a lovely sleep after a night out and Luke took us 3 girls for his instant hangover cure. We got into our swimsuits and took off to the lake...Wakitpu I think. Luke jumped right in and we were soon to follow. Oh my goodness it was freezing! After a quick jump off the diving board each, we ran back out and toweled off. We were definitely awake after that. Vicki, Amanda and I went back to the hostel and signed ourselves up for the Shotover. The Shotover is a jet boat that seats approx. 14 people and cruises through the Shotover river canyons at speeds upto 85km/hr and do 360's. It was absolutely wicked! Everyone we talked to said that this was the best jetboat ride and they didn't lie. The 3 of us girls decided that we all wanted to sit on the edge, so we didn't sit togther...but we were really ok with that. We got soaked and whipped around like crazy! No regrets there. The next day we went down to the lake again but Vicki ended up being the only one who swam. Then us 3 girls decided to rent some mountain bikes and go for a ride. Now I personally hadn't been on a bike in a few years and so i was hoping for a touristy type ride - nothing too hard core. Well I was shit outta luck. The beginning wasn't bad and we even stopped for a quick nap on the beach. Then as the trip continued, we were having to carry our bikes up and down rocky hills and then we found out that the path we were on didn't loop. SO we had to turn around and go all the way back. I thought I was going to die. We made it back after 5 hours with our bikes, which didn't really impress the guy we rented them from cause we only rented them for 4 hours. Oops... well we went back to the hostel and rested up a bit before Luke, Amanda and I went out for some well deserved pasta. All in all it ended being a fab last night in Queenstown.
