So today luckily it wasn't raining anymore. Especially cuz we were walking around with our backpacks...which was such a pain. We started off by trying to find info on how to get Queenstown followed by a visit to the towns church. What an incredible church! Not only was it huge but the work that went into it! After that we parked ourselves in the square (the main area of the town) and watched a life size game of chess, an evil seagull that chased all of the other seagulls and listened to a man rant about religion and other very interesting things such as if anyone were to touch the queen mother he would personally shoot them. Following this very enlightening experience we thankfully found the info center that we had been originally looking for. Here we met some fellow travellers who were also on their way to Queenstown. We decided that we would join this girl Viki who was from Quebec actually, on the bus in the morning, but stop off at Lake Tekapo to visit her sister. As it was starting to get late by this point we decided we should catch the bus and head to Chanelle's aunt's house about 20 minutes away. After some directions from a bus driver we went and caught a bus that would drop us off and then we would have to transfer onto a Klanger. Once getting off we decide to go and ask at a local Burger King what on earth a Klanger is and where we could catch one. Now let me tell you from personal experiece....there is no such thing as a Klanger. In fact a Klanger is simply Kainga , a small town in New Zealand, a slight misunderstanding due to the New Zealand accent. So after the guy working at Burger King thought we were really stupid (well in fact thought that I was stupid cuz Kailey went into the bathroom) we learn that the Kainga bus stopped running about 2 hours earlier. Luckily we got some help from some locals and found our way. In the end it took us more then one transfer and a long hike totalling our travel time to 3 hours :( Chanelle's aunt and uncle however had a very nice home and Robyn cooked us an even better dinner!
