So, after counting down (literally - yes I am that sad) from 159 days till we leave we are now down to 25 and just 7 of them are at work. Christmas was a bit of a hill and now we're over that it really does feel like we're leaving soon. Although this is a good thing, we're beginning to struggle to find the time to do things we want to before we go. As much as I'm looking forward to going skiing on 4 January I could do without it in terms of the time it's taking up.

We went shopping over the weekend and have got just about everything we need now and we even had a practice at packing our bags! This went surprisingly well and I was relieved that what I had planned to take fitted easily. I know everyone says pack everything you think you need, then take half of it away and take twice as much money. However, I really feel like on matters like this you've got to make your own mistakes. I'm not planning on taking anything I'd be devastated about throwing away and I'm sure I've probably got too much. And anyway, taking twice as much money is not an option unless my numbers come up on the lottery this week!

Other things are progressing quite well and it feels like we're on top of things. Consequently, things are a bit dull but I'm sure we'll be left in a blind panic come the last few days before we go. That's it for now but there will be another entry before we leave.
