Seaventures Dive Resort

In the morning, I just couldn't wait to get to the dive rig. I made sure I bought enough anti-emetics (sea sick pills) to last me for the whole trip! Before I knew it, I was up on the elevator going up the dive rig. Greeted with orange juice and bright smiles from all the Seaventures crews. What an awesome day!

Soon after the briefing, we all ate lunch and then off the rig and went straight down underneath the rig towards the house reef! It was just so cool. Down here, there are a lot of 'junks' or artificial reef and they became a nice sanctuary for all the marine life here. During the safety stop, we saw a couple of barracudas that had made the rig their home and I swear they were the hugest barracudas I've ever seen! Well at that time they were the first two I've seen ever.

After some snacks, we went on a short boat dive to the nearby Mabul Island. We could see the island from the rig and they provide free boat ride to the island every evening at 5pm which was cool. Another awesome dive in Mabul and then back to the rig for dinner. A little bit exhausted but felt so great. Made a lot of friends and seemed like we would all be in the same group for a few days here. Bunch of fun people! Couldn't wait to dive Sipadan the next day!
