We rode for a solid 8 hours across a vast barren wasteland to arrive in Arica, Chile -- quite a beautiful town in the NW of Chile -- beautiful ocean views, dark sandy beaches -- a few days to relax until we head back up the coast to Quito.   Its nice to be back at sea level.

We are taking 20 hour bus tomorrow to Lima -- then the world. 

Almost time for Xmas... we canīt wait

Hi Kali and Bryce
We are all enjoying your trip...what fun and what energy you two have to have. Probably nothing you do again will ever compare to this but this should last you a looooong time! I hope you will do a slide show or whatever is comparable today for everyone..as there are many of us who wish we could be there doing the same. I think Uncle Karl is still hoping we'll spend a few month in Guatemala. He's been working on his Spanish lately. Wishing you a safe journey back...hope the bus trip is beautiful and not too painful.
