We got here early - checked our bags with the bus company -- and grabbed a cab to the airport. We booked our flight and 45 min. later we were boarding a light aircraft -- four people and a pilot. Off we went into the skies over Nazca -- a 30 minute flight over the Nazca lines -- we saw countless figures etched into the desert sands. From above they seemed tiny -- but on the ground some of them were as big as 3 football fields. So many theories on who carved these figures and why -- so much mystery.
The flight banked left. The flight banked right. The flight went up. The flight went down. The pilot let go of the wheel and turned to talk to us. Kali lost her breakfast. Neither of us had ever been in a small aircraft -- having flown strictly commercially. It was not fun.
Final verdict: Lines two thumbs up. Plane two thumbs down.

Three weeks and counting. Your adventures truly sound amazing. Lots of sand,sea,mountains,jungles, and fun. We have snow and more snow. Winter will be here when you return. So enjoy and return safely Miss you guys.
