Where I stayed

I gave Orlando a real try. Either it really is a town with no soul or maybe I just need to be away, in a different environment, in order to reach my potential. As usual it is probably a little of both. No…. It’s Orlando.

My pulled muscle/gout has cleared up, I had my 20,000 lb tree removed from my roof, about $40,000.00 damage, and my daughter and I are still working on our little/big problem. I hope soon Kaley will figure out that at 16, you should listen to your daddy.

I went to The Alley in Sanford to listen to the blues band the Blues Busters. It was kinda run down and the clientele were old, out of shape and mostly drunk. Not what I was hoping for. The bartender, Jillian was a bright spot.

I also checked out The Peacock Room on Mills Ave. I swear, the entire crowd was rolling. I mean they were all on ecstasy or some psychedelic drug. They were writhing and twitching and their eyes were just like the picture and video I shot. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough.

I guess Orlando is OK if you are a college student, a southern Baptist, gay, or an uneducated redneck. There just is no place in this town for me.

I am now at my beach Condo Hotel in Indialantic, Fl, called the Tuckaway Shores. I absolutely love it here.

I got here last night and already have two 40 minute, soft sand, up and down, tide created, beach crevice formation, runs in. I swam, did dips, push ups, and ate great beans and rice for dinner. My buddy Marc is on his way now with his flats fishing boat. I am here for 7 days, maybe longer.

The towns of Melbourne, Melbourne Beach, Indialantic, Indian Harbour Beach, Satellite Beach and South Patrick Shores are the jewels of the Space Coast, with Indialantic and the Tuckaway Shores are the Stars All just south of Cocoa Beach and Patrick Air Force Base.

The people here are unpretentious, the shops and restaurants are locally owned and fantastic, the entertainment is blues, rock, jazz and party music. The girls here are friendly and in shape. The beaches, fishing, kayaking, disc tossing, bike riding are the best. Spessard Holland park and Golf Course are right on the Ocean.

Sebastian Inlet and Port Canaveral are all right here. This is the only place in Florida worth living at. Please don’t tell anyone else.

It stays about 5-10 degrees cooler than Orlando and has the Indian and Banana rivers running through it. It is the sailing capital of Florida. Islands pop up everywhere. I even have a secret spot where we can collect the best oysters I ever ate. We are gonna find some today, munch some fish, fruit and veggies.

Life is good once again.
