Road Trip from Byron Day 1
Its Monday morning on the day after Easter. The camp grounds are empting out from the long weekend ending and the end of the Blues Fest. Byron has been very busy with thousands of folk from all over Australia here to listen to the hundreds of bands playing out on the fair grounds. The tickets were too dear for me too afford and my ankle too injured to try anything too athletic to get in for myself. I had been shooting photos of travelers learning to surf for Levi to earn some extra bucks, but he doesn't have anything for me till Thursday. I am extremely restless and antsy to move on to new horizons. Its time to get the 300 back on the road. K Ching and I loaded up the car and headed down the New South Whales coast to the Myall Lakes National Park. We camped at the same spot I camped on for Valentines Day on the way up. No dingo this time, just a very hungry and brave possum. Little guy scratched me reaching for a bite of my P and J sandwich. The moon was a waning gibbous, so the night sky was still quite bright. The possums spent the night scampering around the trees screeching at each other. I spent the night listening to them.
