Back to Perth...on to Broome
Entry 5 of 10 | show all | print this entry |
Hi there,
Our canoe trip was amazing, it took us a while to get started, but surprisingly we finished second in the race coming back. During the trip we crawled through caves, ate bushtucker lunch (incl witchidi grub or worms) and paddled about twice the distance that everyone else did.....
We saw the waves at Yallingup Beach where the worldchampionships surfing are being held, and were almost blown away at Cape Leeuwin lighthouse.
The past two days we stayed on a farm in Pemberton, Southwest Australia. It was fun to feed the animals, including the kangaroo, and we walked through the enormous karri forests, where some trees are up to 75m tall and 16m wide. We rode on the Pemberton Tramway over 5 wooden bridges and we got to blow the horn around every corner.
We're back in Perth, staying close to the domestic airport to catch a very early flight to Broome tomorrow morning. This is where we collect the camper and spend 1 night. We'll let you know how we get on in the camper.... Big hug, Kareem & Tarek

Aloha! (reply) Jul 26, 2008 18:40 EST by simpsonuae
We have kayaked, surfed and boogie boarded on the shores of Hawaii, Kiana has been Hawaiian-nized at camp, Stu has ripped up the courses and tonight we eat pork cooked underground. We could almost be in Oz!
Hugs to you all - miss you!
Take care of each other,
the Simpson 'ohana
